wp-admin is the default admin folder in WordPress, then how to protect a very important folder like this? There are two ways to protect wp-admin folder. First, use secure connection via SSL and give a login requirement from the web server. Second, change the wp-admin folder to another name, so your visitors will never know how to login to your admin page. Ok, I’m gonna tell you about the second way, just rename wp-admin folder. If you want to change permanently the folder’s name, follow this way, but you will never be able to upgrade your WordPress when the newer version released.
