Ubuntu is a mature operating system now, there are a lot of truetype fonts installed by default. But, if you want to install more fonts on your Ubuntu, then it is not a big problem. Ubuntu has the installer for truetype fonts (TTF), just double click on the TTF file in the Nautilus. That’s it, and you can use the new fonts.

If you want to install many fonts at the same time, you can directly add the TTF files into the system’s font directory. Put all your desired TTF files into the /usr/share/fonts/truetype. Search on Google to download the TTF files, you can find thousands of truetype fonts out there.
