Google has just released a new feature called goo.gl, from the name of course you could guessed the function of goo.gl. Yup, it’s an URL Shortener! One of the latest product from Google such as Google Wave, Google Chrome Extensions, etc.
Then, how to use goo.gl? Google did not make a back-end systems like bit.ly, tr.im, and URL Shortener others. To use goo.gl you must also use any service from Google. I’ll give an example with Feedburner.
Feedburner has integrated Socialize feature, you can activate this feature to use goo.gl as URL shortener. Socialize is a feature to post every update from your blog to social network, like Twitter. URL of the blog post has been shortened by goo.gl, then posted to Twitter. Indirectly you are already using goo.gl through Feedburner.
Google URL Shortener is currently available For Google products and not for broader consumer use.
Happy blogging..
Cheers.
