Google Maps Indonesia Is Live

Google has launched Google Maps Indonesia today. This is a good news for end-users and local companies who have been using the Google Maps API like Urbanesia and LewatMana. Because, of course they will get a more detailed map of Indonesia for their service. During this time, Google Maps has been providing incomplete data for some areas in Indonesia, with the Google Maps Indonesia developers can extend coverage to all regions in Indonesia.

Google Maps Indonesia was officially launched by Derek Callow, Head of Marketing Google South East Asia. He said that Google wants to cooperate with more local partners in Indonesia, and indeed not an easy thing to provide a detailed and complete data for all regions in Indonesia.

Indonesia is a huge market for Google Maps, because there are so many startups that use the APIs. In fact, Yahoo! Koprol still use Google Maps.
