How To : Convert Image to Text

To convert an image into a text document you need OCR (Optical Character Recognition) tool. Currently, the OCR tools can be found on the internet, so you can do the conversion via the website. I have tried two tools, Google Docs and Free OCR, both of them were able to convert the image to text with good results.

1. Free OCR

Free OCR is a free tool, you don’t need to register. Just go to the website, upload your image and get the text.
File types : PDF, JPG, GIF, TIFF and BMP.

2. Google Docs

Google Docs is also a free tool, but you need a Google account.
Login to your Google Docs, upload your image. Go to your folder, select the image file, ‘More actions’->’Export’.
