Mozilla Thunderbird is one of the popular email clients such as Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, Claws Mail, Sylpheed, etc. I like to use Thunderdbird because there are many plugins and themes that can make Thunderbird more useful. I am using Thunderbird to send and receive email from my Google Mail (Gmail). One day I want to sync or import my contact on Gmail to Thunderbird. So, I tried plugin Google Contact and Zindus. I compared and I think Zindus is better. Zindus could sync suggested contact, and Google Contact did not. When I sync using Google Contact, there are 109 imported, but when using Zindu there are 278 imported include suggested contact. Now I will show you how to Import Contact from Gmail to Thundebird.

1. Install Zindu from Tools>Add on. Zindu is usually included on Recomended Addon. But, if you can not find there, just search Zindu. After Thunderbird find Zindu, hit Add to Thunderbird. You must restart after installing add on.

2. Before you sync you contact, you must know how many contacts on Gmail. You can open Gmail from Browser. Open Contact. Beside “Contact” om left sidebar, there is count of contact, exlclude suggested contact. To how many total contact, click “more action”, select “export”.
