Google is Not "Best Search Engine"

Last night i was doing a little experiment, just for fraudulent. I was testing a keyword to 3 famous search engine, Google, Bing, and Yahoo. The keyword is “best search engine”, I thought they would add their search engine to the top (#1) of SERP with “best search engine”. But, the result shows same result for the firtst position, the “best search engine” is Dogpile. You can check it by yourself .

What is Dogpile? I never heard this name before. Dogpile is a search engine, it combines 4 top leading seach engine (Google, Yahoo, Ask, and Live Search) to one seach box and also the search results. The purpose is to make more efficient and relevant search results.

The question is.. why they don’t put their own search engine to the top of search result with “best search engine” keyword? I mean, why Google is not the best search engine in Google search result when I searching for “best search engine” ? Ask puts itself to first position on same keyword, I think it’s good for their interest.

If Google, Bing, and Yahoo doing this because of Dogpile’s page quality, let’s see the quality of Google, Bing, Yahoo, and of course Dogpile. I’m gonna use Linkscape from Seomoz.org. (Linkscape is a tool for measuring the strength of a page).

Basic URL Metrics

Based on Linkscape’s result, the strongest page is Google with PR 10 (Wow!!) and Dogpile has lowest quality, but why Google is not “best search engine” on its result page? How about Bing and Yahoo? They do same with Google.
